The worst 2 weeks of my life
The movers prearranged the pickup time with two previous phone calls, as well as one the day before - so I'm not sure why I they called me the next morning at 6:30am! Then, the movers were over an hour late in picking up the furniture, but they never called to say they would be late. I was promised two wardrobes with bars to hang my clothes for transport, but they weren't on the truck. The price quote and delivery date changed immediately once the furniture was loaded on the truck. I was surprised with having to purchase mattress covers and the service fee to apply them. The cubic feet of furniture jumped by 50 more. The original delivery date was quoted to be two to five days, but once they loaded the furniture, it turned into seven to 10 days and ended up to be almost two weeks. There were many phone calls to NBA, most were not returned. The
movers eventually arrived in my state and kept saying I was the next delivery, but after four hours, they still weren't here. The city they were in was only an hour away. Just when it couldn't be any worse, they announced the new arrival time to be 11:15 pm. They threatened me with a redelivery charge when I refused to accept the delivery at that time, until I mentioned the neighbors might call the police. They promised to come the next day by 10 am but they never arrived until after 2pm, never called to say they would be late. 1/4 of the 20 boxes arrived crushed or with large holes in them, especially the ones marked fragile, whjch I purchased from NBA. I took pictures of these boxes.
