Never again will I use Orion Moving and Storage and would not recommend this relocation company to anyone. They picked up our belongings in Cedar Hill, Texas and my son and his wife were there to make sure they got everything on the truck, which they did. But it was a different story when the truck arrived in New Jersey 13 days later. To start with, the driver picked up four young men in New York City, put them in the back of the truck with our furniture (90 degrees outside) and drove to Nutley, New Jersey. When the young men started bringing our furniture in, my heart started sinking. They unwrapped my grandfather clock and the door was just hanging by one hinge and the top corner was broken off. Almost every item was scratched. My love seat and sofa have wood trim on both arms and along the bottom. The wooden trim on the arm of the loveseat is broken. The bottom trim of the couch is broken. About 1/2 of my dishes were broken (these were wrapped in bubble wrap and had a towel around them also. Some of my boxes were split open and had been wrapped in tape to keep the contents in. The biggest disappointment was my living room tables. The are wooden tables with heavy etched glass insert in the top of each table. The glass never arrived. Many of my decorative pictures, my ladders, and several mirrors never arrived. When mentioning this to the driver he just told me to wait a week or so and make a claim. This I did.....they compensated us $186. for all of the damages and losses.
