relocation crew was great but we only moved about one mile, which at $1,700 was too expensive.

This job was booked over the phone. We never saw exactly what you wanted to move. We told you what our hourly rates were and what 5 rooms usually averages. When we arrived, we realized you had a 3 story victorian home which filled our entire 9 room truck. To make matters more difficult, we moved you to another historic 3 story with narrow stairways and some of the doors were only 28" wide. (believe me this was a very difficult move) We see that you gave us a 5 for courteous staff, 4 for handling belongings and 4 for being on time which we appreciate. Also you checked No for any damages which was great on our part with the difficulty and circumstances of the delivery. You were told it was a $150/ hour for 3 men. We never told you it was going to take $800 to move your home. I think you are confused with the email we orginally sent prior to seeing the job. My foreman, John had told you that it was going to be around 10 hours from the beginning to end plus an hour traveling each way. You living 1 mile away had nothing to do with the amount of household goods you had in the 3 story victorian home. The bill did come to $1,700. 10 hours at $150/hr for 3 men and an hour from Woonsocket to Newport and another hour from Newport to Woonsocket. Sorry our online quote that we give to everyone for 5 rooms confused you. In closing we feel we did a 5 star job as quick and efficient as possible and we are sorry that you aren't 100% satisfied. We at MGM have a fantastic history with customer service and full satisfaction.
