America Van Line
The move had good marks, but there was an issue with a rescheduling fee.
I was supposed to settle on April 24th and I didn't end up settling on my house until April 28th. To reschedule with the movers they charged my credit card $700 even after I used their services and rescheduled, not cancelled. I was told the reschedule fee will only be a $100 not $700.
I have still trying to contact their corporate office to be reimbursed, but they have been very rude thus far. I do not recommend them to use because they have this fee. Someone told me the same thing about a major van line and I went with another company and had the same thing happen anyway.

Response from America Van Line
Customer was originally schedule to move with America Van Line on Sat. April, 25th. Customer has called on the morning of the 25th saying she cannot move on that day. We have advised her that there is a rescheduling fee on the day of the move for $700(not $100).
She said she had no choice. Customer has signed our terms and conditions saying that: “Cancellation policy: (apply for all moves) Please understand that you have 7 days to cancel your move from the day of reservation(unless the move reservation is schedule less the 7 days from pick up date and no refund will be made for cancellation) ; otherwise there will be a cancellation fee equal to your deposit amount. All rescheduling and changes must be completed 72 hours prior to your move date; otherwise a $300 cancellation fee will apply in addition to the loss of your deposit. For no show, cancellation or rescheduling on the day of the move you will be charged $700(in addition to the deposit). that will be debited from the credit card you provided us."
We had secured the customer spot for that day and not scheduled another move in order to provide her with this service. We have spoken with the customer numerous times and she had never mentioned any damage or any issue with the move or the movers. She even wrote us a recommendation letter saying: “Very professional and friendly! I enjoyed my move!!!” We have referred her to the terms and condition she have signed and her response was :( an email she sent us) “I don't have control of my when my settlement is to occur but like I said I guarantee from here on out you will lose business. I will make sure of it.”
We do have any control on her closing as well. This is something she needs to take care with her title company not us. We have provided her with the service requested in the terms we have both agreed upon. If you take off the $700 fee the estimate will be the same.
