Don't make this mistake
The
movers were supposed to pick up my belongings on 8/5/2010 at 10am. They didn't arrive until 6:30 pm. When they did arrive they told me that they just got the ticket. They did not inventory anything, when I asked why, they said that since they were delivering tomorrow, there would not be anything else in the truck. I told them that the delivery date was not until 8/12/10 and asked how I was going to know if my belongings would get to NC. He then called someone (10:30 at night) and they told me that they were going to store my belongings in their wharehouse and that I would get an inventory via email. I got a phone call the next day saying that they didn't need the truck and that the items would stay in the truck in the wharehouse, so they did not need to be inventoried. On the day of delivery, instead of arriving at 1:30pm, they arrived again late in the evening. Several items were damaged including: entertainment center, lamp, Bathroom shelf, bookshelf, rip on couch, drawers on captins bed. They were able to repair the entertainment center. As each thing came up broken, I passed on filing a claim since each item itself seemed small. When taken as a whole however, many mistakes were made. I was too exhausted to deal with the matter as I just moved from FL to NC.
