Moving Day

The movers arrived on time, they were courteous and friendly. However, our bedroom suite is extremely heavy (which I advised the moving company when I made the reservation) and one of the drawers chipped. The mover brought it to our attention and it was not chipped previously, although he tried to convince us it was. The bedroom has a heavy formica covering on it and the bottom right hand drawer is chipped and looks like a bite has been taken out of the formica. In addition to that, the bedroom suite had to go up stairs in our new home, understanding it is really heavy they chipped part of the ceiling and scuffed and chipped the banister all the way up the stairs in several places. We understand it was very heavy, however we had just had the entire home painted, we feel things could have been better covered to avoid chipping and scuffing brand new paint.
