I had a Sunday delivery and was not notified beforehand that I could not use a credit card to pay my balance until Saturday at 4 p.m. It was a big pain to get a cashier's check as I was not going to be in the same city as where my furniture was being delivered the next day. The driver threatened to turn around with my furniture when I said I might not be able to get a cashier's check after 4 p.m. on a Saturday. He said I would be charged more money for storing it in their warehouse. I couldn't call anyone with American Vanlines because their customer service office was closed and wouldn't be open again until Monday. I totally felt cornered and I would recommend this moving company.

The pickup was fine; problems didn't arise until delivery in New York. Both the driver and American Van Lines advised that my goods would be delivered on Friday, March 6.
