Still nickel & dime you
They tell you evcerything is included when they give the estimate, but then they show up and start taping everything up and tell you it's $4 per roll of tape as they use three rolls on each item of furniture. I told them to not use so much, so the furniture that was not taped up was treated like bouncing balls. They did get the move done efficiently, however, and were quite timely. Just tack on an extra 15 percent to their estimate for all the nickel and dime junk (tape, bubble wrap, etc.) and let them wrap everything up. Had I let them do that, I would have had a lot less damage. I'd recommend (with caveats) for the sake of reliability and because if I would have coughed up another $200-$300, I can say pretty confidently there would have been no damage. Even had I known about the extra costs going in, I probably still would have used them because even though the brokers were less than half the price, I still would have chickened out. With brokers, there's no telling who's gonna show and what they're gonna charge. They're a total hit or miss.
