I was given a flat rate from Sunway Vanlines Inc., and when they got all my items on the truck I got a price of $2,000. When I asked if I could have them take the things off the truck it was going to cost me another $1,000. I would of never use a moving company, but employees at the company gave me a good flat rate. Then when my stuff was loaded it was the drivers decision to inflate the price. Never again will I use a moving company. I will move my things in a moving truck and load it myself-much cheaper!

Response from Sunway Vanlines
An estimate is only as good as the information a client provides. In this case, the customer provided information that was much less than what our movers found on the day of move. The flat price was for 355 c/f volume @ $2.75 per cube (an excellent low rate) totaling $976 for this move. Upon arrival to her home, we actually found 800 plus cubic feet. @ 2.75 it come out to $2,200. Yet we only charged her $2,000. All things considered, she did quite well in that she got a low rate to begin with, and she got an additonal $200 discount for all of her furniture. We understand how she feels, but we cannot stay in business if we move a lot for a little. It makes no busuness sense. So I hope this customer finds it in her to recant and detract this review.
