Bad Experience
The driver made no attempt to enter my neighborhood, claiming that he would scrape the bottom of the trailer on the ground (my neighborhood has a speed bump). Having seen double-drop trailers in my neighborhood before, I believe that he could have made it.
He then charged me $300 for a "long haul". He worked alone, and would not accept any help from my new wife or myself. This meant, when he carried heavy things up the stairs, we would drag them up with the transport dolly. It ripped apart my outside wooden front steps because his dolly was 100% metal (no carpet or plastic to slide on).
I also now have a beautiful stain on my inside steps that is the exact width of the dolly supports. Coincidence? Luke, the estimator, was great to work with, but the moving staff was not -- they were six (6) hours late for the pick-up!
