The original estimate was $1300, and at the end we payed $3,200. As you can see the difference was tremendous! of course we had no other choice but to pay. All our belongings were paacked and inside the vehicle when we were told of the total. Shocking. How could the estimator be so wrong?

Response from Olympus Moving & Storage
We gave the customer a binding estimate as according to the limited information that he submitted. We did not receive an inventory list or any information that would indicate that he had more than a "1 bedroom". The customer called and booked the service as according to the 400 cubic footage x the flat rate of $3.50 that brings his total to $1,400.00 minus the 8% discount for booking 14 days ahead of time.
When we did his move, our movers further explained our services and the space that his items would occupy on the truck. The movers saw that he had more items than stated on the contract and they did informe the customer and the customer agreed to let the movers load his items unto the truck. The customer was able to see with his own eyes how much space his belongings took up on the previous empty truck.
