Olympus Moving Review
Overall the experience was a good one. The only complaints were 1) the estimate given based on my inventory list grossly underestimated the actual space that was needed (with the movers packing the truck as tightly as possible) and 2) my items were delivered a few days after the date I was told (I was initially told if i wanted my things on an specific date that could happen, then when the movers called to confirm the delivery date they told me they had 5-8 days from the 1st day I could accept delivery).
All that being said - my overall experience was very good - this was a great value for the money (lowest estimate out of any company, even with the added expense of the increased cubic footage needed -- movers were willing to negotiate on the added cost of the additional square footage), the movers were very careful with my things, wrapped them well, and took care not to damage the house as they were moving my things in and out.
Although the movers delivered my things a few days later than initially anticipated, they were very flexible with the time of delivery (in my case working around my work schedule and delivering early in the morning) and again, very courteous and careful with my things. I do give fair warning that, while none of my things were damaged, seeing how everything is packed in the large truck that goes across the country, I would not (and am glad I did not) ship anything breakable.
I don't think any moving company is perfect, especially not at the prices this one is offering, but overall I was satisfied and would recommend this company, as long as the issues above are considered.
