Small job, big hassle
The pickup was supposed to happen June 1. I agreed to May 31 for GoldCoast's convenience and THEN they wanted to charge me $59 for the labor of moving my things to storage before moving it to MA from CA because it would get there too early. I had a long argument to talk them out of that!!
The pickup guys got to my house very late causing me to miss one appointment and ruining a dinner date that had to be turned into multiply interrupted Thai take-out instead of a restaurant date. The drop off guys were reasonably on time. Both teams were polite. One box was lost because it was never labeled with a moving number and my Mother's antique four poster bed had a post broken in transit.
The insurance I bought was separate and had a deductable that was too high to cover my losses. GoldCoast has referred me to a rather unresponsive insurance adjuster after "looking for the lost box" for a couple of weeks. It has been altogether a very big hassle for a very small amount of furniture to move. My claim has yet to be resolved.
