All My Sons Moving
paying by the hour is always iffy. I paid for arguing between the movers, smoking breaks, lunch, chatter breaks when they thought i'd dissappeared. My son listened to curse words and again, arguing. They would bring down the stairs 1 small thing at a time.
They worked 1 round to my 3. I had all boxes packed, all they had to do was load and unload. Three bedroom home -- 12 hours -- not including the garage and grills. Emptying the truck took 4 hours, no assembly required, and the boxes all got packed inside the front door. I had cleaning help here with me and never saw them work the entire time I was with the cleaning crew in the kitchen -- at least 30 minutes.
What were they doing for 12 hours? Our last move took 4 hours to load and 2 hours to unload. I did call to complain and one man started moving, the other 2 just seemed to slow down more. Nothing was damaged -- something good came of it. In the end they lowered the price by $100.
