I was told that the move of a bedroom set would be within the 3 hour minimum at $75 per hour. When we got to my apartment, they said the bill was $225 minimum and 2 hours travel time and packing materials, that they said were required by law. They were not about to move the set off the truck until I agreed to these prices.
I asked if anyone was in the office and was told no. I called the office and spoke to a young lady. She said she would have the owner call me in 2 minutes. He called the driver and told him to tell me that was the amount. I called back and finally got the owner on the phone and agreed to pay 375 to get my furniture. He told the driver OK, but cash only.

As mentioned in the email and to the customer there is a minimum of 3 hours. The customer was given a discount on the hourly rate as well the original rate should of been $90 per hour with the 3 hour minimum you would be looking at $270.00 just for the move.
As far as materials it is mandatory to protect all furniture on our trucks. The customer was advised that there is travel time plus any material used. The customer figured because they were saving on the hourly rate that it would be cheaper.
At the end of the move the customer was dissatisfied with the price and given an additional discount. We did everything in our power to satisfy the customer and gave them a discount on their move.
