A Professional Movers
The movers were scheduled to be at my home at 9:00am. Instead they showed up at 7:30am. We were not ready yet and still had things to pack. The guys were nice, but communication was definately a problem because they didn't speak much English.
They frequently stopped to answer their cell phones and would be on them while moving my stuff. This was a constant delay. Considering you are paying by the hour, I was not happy about the constant interuptions. A move which should have taken about 4 hours was over 6 1/2. And that was with us doing a lot of the moving ourselves.
During the move, a piece of our new bedroom furniture was damaged. When I showed the mover, he said 'Oh that's OK it's on the bottom, you won't see it anyway.' I was so upset. Then he told my boyfriend to just find a crayon and color it in.
I called the moving company to file a claim. It took 5 days to get to the person who we were told we had to speak to. Everytime we called, she wasn't in. After finally reaching her we explained the problem and she said she would send a claim form. They offered no appologies for anything.
