The Truth
I have been a credit card holder for the past decade. Never once did I dispute a charge until I had the misfortune of dealing with USA Relocation. I was given an estimate over the phone after going through in painstaking detail every item I was going to bring on the truck of $900, and I was assured this was the best price possible. After doing some research on my own, this was the lowest estimate.
However, after all of my possesions were loaded on the truck I was told that the new cost would be $1500. I had no choice but to agree to the new terms, everything was packed and put away. Furthermore, I was assured that my belongings would be at my new residence no later than Thursday of the same week. When I called to ask about my delivery time I was told that I could expect them first thing Sunday morning. I guess they liked my stuff so much that they just couldnt part with it for an additional 4 days.
I was then informed that because they would keep my possessions an additional 4 days, and only charge me $200 more than the original estimate. So now it would only cost me $1100 plus three additional nights in a hotel (which of course is my expense forgetting that I am already paying rent on my new apartment).
When the big delivery day did finally arrive, only one item was broken. I guess this was because they decided to move my stuff from the original moving truck to another truck. I would not recommend this moving company.
