Moving is not a pleasant experience and it was compunded by the fact that the company I hired did not come and see what they were moving prior to giving an estimate.

The truck could not hold all the items and I had to rent a small truck the following day to move the remaining items. In general they did a good job of securing the items but there were few broken glass items. They also took their time in loading. Their material charges were way too high specifically for tape @ $3.50 each and they used more than necessary of all material to jack up the cost.

Overall, I feel they low-balled their hourly cost to get the job and stuck me with a big amount at the end plus I had to move the remaining stuff on my own. I would not recommend them even though they handled my belongings properly, reported before time and were very courteous.

First of all, A. Professional Movers Inc would like to apologize that M Singh is unhappy with the moving services provided. We had given an estimate for 480.00, which included 6 hours at 80.00 per hour and since we were told no packing was needed, we did not include a quote for packing material. We simply told Madan that if any was needed, it would be purchased at an additional cost.

Unfortunately, the inventory we were provided with by the customer was grossly inaccurate. The move wound up taking my men 14 hours to complete due to an excessive amount of packing which was not done ahead of time, as we had discussed. This job required 90% of the items moved to be packed by the company, in stark contrast to what we had discussed over the phone ( that the customer would do all packing).

This not only added to the time needed, but also to the amount of packing materials charged. If we had known ahead of time, we would have supplied Madan with additional men. In addition, the inventory we were supplied with by the customer was also extremely inaccurate.

Again, if we were told ahead of time about the amount of items included, a second truck would have been supplied. Again we apologize that our quote over the phone was under-estimated, but our estimates can only be as accurate as the customer's description of services needed.

As far as the items which were damaged, I would like to point out that the box which held the broken items was one of the few boxes which the customer packed on their own.
