Nationwide Moving Services
I had a very poor experience with Nationwide Moving Services during a simple 1500-pound move of about 1,000 miles. All of my items were professionally boxed ahead of time.
1. The movers were eight hours late on pickup and arrived at midnight to load my belongings.
2. The movers were four days late on delivery and made me pay and additional $200 cash to start unloading. There was also no advance phone contact for the delay. The movers simply showed up at my door four days late. (My previous calls were unanswered.)
3. Many items were broken or damaged due to rough handling.
4. About $2000-$2500 worth of property was never arrived. Not sure if it was stolen or just lost to incompetence.
5. I was ignored by customer service. I had to file a chargeback to recover my credit card deposit. Overall, painfully frustrating experience and I would never trust them to move anything in the future. The initial cost of the move was $1400. I paid $1600 plus over $2000 in lost property.
