No control over boxes and wrap
They insisted on wrapping everything with padding and tape and tape and tape -- and putting what I had in boxes in THEIR boxes, and I had no control over the $900 worth of boxes and tape. It was a shock when they charged me almost $1,000 over what I expected.
Yes, I read the moving contract, and I expected a materials charge, but I think they overdid it. I realize now that this is what moving companies do -- give you an estimate on weight and distance and then burn you with materials.
