Prodigy ... the best moving company!
The movers showed up exactly at 8am. They worked so hard without taking a single break (until we asked them to stop so we could locate our hiding cats!). They wrapped everything with great care and spoke to us with respect and courtesy.
We were very impressed with their fortitude and how their feet never stopped moving. We underestimated the time it would take to get all the big objects wrapped and moved and then relocated, so the final amount exceeded our expectations and was a bit scary; totally a whopping $650 including gratuities'.
However, it was not really the movers fault as I never witnessed them slowing down once. They worked in pairs and as a team and took extra special care of the large expensive items. They also all spoke good English, not necessarily as their first language, but enough to follow direction and ask the appropriate questions.
My only qualm was perhaps the excessive use of cling film, since we the customer had to pay per roll. The distinctive sound of sticking cling film being arduously wrapped around our furniture multiple times over and over again, was like listening to money being flushed down the toilet.
I would suggest that prospectus customers supply their own tape and cling film. Overall, we were very happy with Prodigy and would recommend them to anyone. I would say, it's better to spend a little and get a good service in return. After all, haste makes waste, and cheap is cheap for a reason.
