Don't Go By the Hour
I was quoted 99/hr for four guys. They did not get me a full estimate beforehand on the phone. I had moved the previous year, and had the house packed by the movers as well. It took six hours for the
movers to pack and load the entire truck. I had not packed 1 box then. This time, the entire house was packed and ready to go, and it took 4 hours just to load the truck. They repacked boxes without checking with me, they took and extraodiarily long time doing everything. A friend with me, even commented on how long it was taking them to load everything. The entire move was 10 hours..... and I only moved one mile away. I would not hire movers by the hour again.
