Great cross country experience
Even though the
movers were a few days late from their original delivery date, they were in constant communication the entire time. They called to tell me that they had had some problems with the truck and would be a couple of days late. They continued calling as they got closer to my new apartment. So even though they were late, their great customer service offset that fault. Both staff teams, the group that picked-up my furniture and the group that delivered it were very courteous. They carefully packed all of my furniture in an efficient, timely, professional, and secure manner. I felt confident that my things would be protected and secure during the trip. When the team arrived at my new apartment (across the country - from Boston to Arizona), they unpacked and assembled all of my furniture also in a quick and careful manner. There were no damages to my things -- except for two broken wine glasses in one of the boxes, but that was entirely due to my bad packing abilities. All of the furniture arrived in excellent condition. All in all, this was a great moving experience. Even though their estimates are based on cubic feet (instead of weight) they gave me a reasonable quote and the final cost was only a bit higher because of additional packing materials (I had my bed put into mattress bags and mattress boxes for extra protection). I would highly recommend them but suggest that you read all of the fine print to make sure that you won't be needing additional services from them, which come with an extra cost -- ie. elevator usage, too many flights of stairs, shuttle service at delivery if your street is too narrow, etc, and also be aware of the additional cost for packing materials (they provide a list of this with the contract). They are very honest with all, if any, additional fees you might incur, but you have to make sure you ask about all of this. Also, the furniture I moved was from a standard 1-bedroom apartment, so I'm not sure if the experience would change if this was for furniture for the entire house.
