Expensive and Time Consuming Move
I asked the owner of the company if he was sure that my move would only cost $390 because in the past it has cost me $1,000 to move three rooms of furniture. The owner assured me that my move cost would only be $390. When the
movers arrived they saw that I lived down a long hallway with one elevator that is used for moving, and they quickly advised me that my moving costs would run way past $390. I wish the owner of this company had sent someone from his company to survey where I live, my items to be moved and the elevator being used for the move, and they could have given me a more accurate move cost. $390 is a big difference from $880. I was a bit angry regarding the difference in the moving costs and had to scramble to the bank to retrieve additional funds to pay for my move. The movers were friendly, courteous and professional with moving my belongings.
