Beware of American Eagle Movers

Approximately 60-70% of our belongings were damaged. The movers did not properly pad our furniture, and as a result, most of our wood furniture has severe scratches and broken pieces. Additionally, the truck they used had a leak. The driver went through a rain storm, which caused major water damage to most of our boxes.

Response from American Eagle Movers

Thank you for business. The damages listed here are totally fabricated. How is it possible for a small leak in the very front of the trucks peak going to damage a complete load? I am sure you had a few wet boxes as it was rain not acid that will not damage anything but get the items in the box wet. That is not damage. As far as the claim you submitted there were alleged damages you listed but after looking at the inventory list the items already had scratches and such. A damage is a busted item in pieces or broken, not a scratch. Your alleged claim will be addressed at .60 cents per pound per item if we find that an item was damaged due to our negligence. We already had a USDOT officer comes to our office to view your claim and found we are well within our rights. You have already went to the BBB and other places to slander our good name. Your alleged claim is in the process and we have up to 120 days to answer based on our findings. We will not be pushed or threatened by your actions into settling any claim outside the boundaries of the DOT laws by your harassment. Take a look at all the good references we have all over the internet as well as all of the positive references we have on this site. We performed your move in a professional manner. We loaded yo0ut shipment into a 2009 Ryder lease truck that had a few pin holes on the top corner of the truck that had dripped water on a few boxes that would be impossible to ruin your shipment and the driver stated that only a few boxes were wet and you spend your time trying to coarse us into paying you big money for small scratches and a few wet boxes. We will be happy to settle your claim within the boundaries of the USDOT Laws as we are in the process. Thank you for your business.
