Not a Great Experience
I was given a binding rate of $1,580.43 by this
moving company. When the movers picked my things up they told me it would be $2,291. On Friday, I received a bill for $2,447.38. I called my main customer service representative many times since Thursday to get an answer as to what is going on. It is Monday morning and I still have not heard anything. When the rep initially came to my house I told him I had a quote from Mayflower for $2,400 and they would do all the packing. I did all the packing with the exception of my TV and kitchen set. I received a charge of $209.62. The fuel surcharge was supposed to be $75.26, the bill states $106.56. I still have not received my furniture as I am still looking for housing. What I want now is an answer as to how I was given a binding rate of one price, yet the cost has increased by almost $1,000. If I had known that I would do all the work and still be charged this amount, I would have had Mayflower move my furniture and they would have done the work. I need answers and I am not happy. I am a paying customer, who did everything I was asked to do prior to the move, but I am not being treated as a customer, instead I feel I am being ignored. I just want and deserve answers asap.
