Lincoln Moving and Storage - mediocre
We scheduled our move for 8 am, but they called a few days before to move it to noon. Then they said noon-2pm. They didn't show up until 2:30 pm. It meant that getting things set up before our two-year-old's bedtime was nearly impossible, and that the move went through the dinner hour. The drive between locations took them an hour when it only took us 30 min, apparently because they didn't know where the truck could fit under the train line, and drove all over town trying to find an overpass that was high enough. A little research or knowledge of the area could have saved a lot of time (on our dime!). They were courteous and competent at certain things (like blanket & shrink wrapping), but they paid absolutely no attention to boxes labelled fragile or with arrows indicating which way was up. I would find boxes with fragile items upside down at the bottom of a huge pile. They also wouldn't read the labels on the boxes that told them which room to put them in, and instead required that I tell them where every box went -- so amidst trying to feed a hungry and exhausted two-year-old, I was having to direct their every move. In general I think they were too rough with everything. A piece broke off my elliptical trainer and disappeared, they cracked the vacuum, broke half of my TV trays, and we are continuing to find cracks and chips as we unpack and set things up. We haven't even bothered to make claims yet as we are still unpacking and finding more broken things, and I have little faith that they will reimburse us for anything.
