Worst Move Ever

The movers were supposed to arrive at 9 a.m. I received no word from them and it was 10:30 a.m., so I called the company. He said he would check on the movers and see where they were. I got a call back two hours later and was told that a truck had caught on fire, so they couldn’t get to me at that point. He said he could hopefully get to me by 2 or 3 p.m. when they have time to rent a truck to move me. I had scheduled the cable guy to come to my new place (an hour away) and I had to leave to let him in, so my friend waited for the movers to show up at my old residence. Hours passed where I finally got a call at 7:30 p.m., stating that they were headed to my place but first they had to stop and eat. I hadn't eaten yet and just sat at my new place and waited for them. They finally arrived at my new home at 9:20 p.m., - they also scratched the wood floors at my old residence and still charged me $600, almost $400 over my estimate. I couldn’t believe how I was scammed. When I called and complained they said they would only give me $70 off, which is one hour off the move - So, I waited 12hrs and they give me one hour off? I have still not received the $70 back and it has been two weeks. Terrible company, unprofessional people and I almost made it a legal case because I felt scammed.
