Response from Sunstate Movers and Storage, Inc.
When reading a negative review regarding SunState Movers & Storage, or any other business for that matter; please be aware that there are always two sides to every story and you, as the reader, are getting only one side of the story.
We regret that this customer is dissatisfied and does not agree with our attempts to explain their charges; nor do they take any responsibility in the miscommunication. We can only quote prices that are as precise as the information provided by the customer. For quoting purposes, this customer told us they were moving out of a two-bedroom property. When our moving team arrived it was an overly furnished three-bedroom property.
The customer also told us they would have already moved all items except for the large heavy pieces of furniture. When our team arrived, the customer informed them they had moved "some fragile items," but had not had a chance to relocate as much as they had intended.
Prior to moving day, this customer was aware they had entered into an hourly contract and was happy when we told them if the time went over, we would honor the discounted rate they were given even on any additional hours. This customer also indicated there would be no packing required, which was not the case.
The size of this job ended up being more than twice the size as it had been presented. We understand that moving is a stressful time and customers may not be able to live up to the conditions they presented to a moving company when they requested a quote. Most of our customers understand this and if there are any additional charges above the original estimate, are agreeable that they are valid. We are happy to state that we complete over 500 moves each month and are proud of our 99.5 percent customer satisfaction rate.
This being said, we are still committed to making every reasonable effort to resolve any dissatisfaction from the other 0.5 percent.
