Caveat Emptor
I got my original estimate two months ago. Since the estimate was made, I sold my refrigerator, washer, dryer, lawn mower etc., in order to lighten the load by 1,000 pounds. Even then, the actual
moving cost was $2,900 more than the estimate. This was the epitome of bait and switch. No wonder moving companies have such a scummy reputation. I did my homework, I thought, only to be taken to the cleaners.
