Moving Company Review

The movers were polite and helpful but that didn't make up for the fact that the final charges were significantly higher from the initial estimate. Additionally, they did not bring a truck of adequate size and I was forced to leave items behind (and subsequently rent a vehicle to gather up what I was able to carry myself), nor did they have enough moving blankets and other protective padding for several of my items.

Moving is stressful enough without having to argue about the price. The reason I chose that moving company was the fact it was priced upon actual inventory - which is why I opted to have a company representative do the inventory vs. doing it online myself - and not an hourly charge, in addition to their perceived professionalism and that they would pack/crate my electronics and fragile items.

None of those things came to pass ... no packing/crating (it was wrapped in a blanket), were rough with boxes marked fragile and in the end almost double the cost of the move. I will say the damage overall was relatively minimal, but one of the items was significantly scratched.
