Bad Outweighs the Good
The did their jobs fine, unloaded fairly fast and no damages. However, after a detailed over the phone estimate, where I even listed more boxes of books than I had, they gave me an estimate of about $1,500 but on arrival I was told it was heavier than they had thought and it cost $2,900! Nearly twice the cost? On the day they packed it the
movers even commented that it wasn't much stuff. They wouldn't unload until I paid, so I had to go to a bank and get extra cash. They had a receipt from a weigh station, but how do I know they didn't throw some heavy stuff on there just to increase it? Since I am not there when the truck gets weighed it is an act of faith... but it seems that with both the phone and day-of estimates being low and the final weight coming in near twice as much it left a bad feeling. I wouldn't do business with them again.
