Response from A-2-B Moving & Storage Inc
We sincerely apologize for your concerns, although, we feel that you were given the best estimate possible with the list of items you provided us with via e-mail. Based off the logistics of your move, the industry standard would be two men and one truck, we operate the largest trucks available without sending a semi, this would not be cost effective for the company or customer to send out semi trailers on small, local relocations. We were unaware of the size of the piece causing the second trip.
EMAIL: “Hi Tara, Thank you for responding this way. I’ve gotten overwhelming response from my request but due to health issues this week haven’t had much time to respond. My major pieces of furniture are a washer $ dryer, tool bench, wood framed storage unit ( for garage), sofa, chair + ottoman, recliner, dining table + 6 chairs, small hutch, computer desk, TV, queen size bed frame, 3 twin size mattresses, 1 large dresser, 1 small chest of drawers, an antique sewing machine + cabinet. There may be some boxes that will go along with the furniture mentioned above but I don’t expect a lot. I have possession early and will be having some work done inside before I move in, which will allow mw ( with help of family/friends to begin moving basement/garage odds and ends over the week/ weekend. I’m moving less than 2 miles, depending on the route. Do your movers wrap furniture, set- up bed frames, hook up washer and dryer, etc. I look forward to hearing back form you ~ Renee”
According to the email above you did not provide us with measurements, we had no way of knowing you had an oversized piece. The typical 3 bed room home can fit comfortably into one of our trucks, so from past experiences we assumed that the items in your two bedroom apartment would easily fit into our truck. Lastly, the guys worked very hard with not a single damage, according to your customer comment sheet and review. We again apologize for any inconvenience. Signed, A-2-B Moving & Storage Inc
