Moving Costs A Lot
Beware of the initial estimate they give you. I started with $900.00 then when the
movers showed up they tacked on a $40.00 charge for tape. I knew movers always do this so I bought tons of roles of tape for them to use, but they didn't use my tape and then charged me for the use of tape. On top of that, the original price was not upheld--there is a huge difference between $900 and $1,400. After they left, I noticed a really expensive dresser of mine has a chip that can't be fixed so I don't even know how they will be able to reimburse me on something that can't be fixed! The only good thing is that they do the hauling, upstairs downstairs or whatever you need. There is really no way around these sorts of things, I have moved many times and its always the same experience. I would say rent a van and do-it-yourself, which will be a lot less...good luck!
