City 2 City
The company contacted me numerous times prior to the move as "Chris", when I incurred problems Chris was never in the office or available. Chris did the estimate, was told 3 times on 3 differant occasions that 1 truck would be enough.
At 4pm on the packing day I was told they could not get everything in the truck. When "Dave" the foreman came, originally would not give me a price for this additional truck, "have to load and then will determine price", wanted 3000.00 more dollars. Upon arrival I had glass ware that was thrown in a box, lights hanging outside of boxes and a plasma tv that does not work. I will not recommend this company to any of my family or friends in NYC.

Response from City 2 City Van Lines
In regards to Keith Curtis, to get right to the point – there was never an extra charge for cubic feet, which is normally the problem in a case like this. The simple fact was the customer had to pay for packing.
City 2 City Vanlines as a courtesy did not charge for exactly 9 dish boxes, 5 wardrobe boxes, 7 picture boxes, free bubble wrap, free shrink wrap and tape. Also we did not charge $375 for the extra rental truck needed for the move. We did charge for fuel @ $200 and we did charge for 50 book boxes, 10 small linen and 5 additional wardrobe boxes. The packing service amounted to $1092.00 ---also we were asked to bring furniture already in the home from different floors as a favor. And there was no distasteful charge for that.
Most importantly we did not ask for the balance before unloading, which is our right. All of these claims are backed up in writing if needed. We were made out to be typical crooks and City 2 city is far from it.
