Not a great company
The sales rep. told me that they were having a special 10 percent discount. So instead of $95 per hour, it would be $84. I asked for a flat rate and the sales rep. said that it would less expensive to go with an hourly rate. I told him that it was a two-bedroom apartment with a lot of heavy furniture. He said that it shouldn't take more than four hours plus an hour travel time charge, for a total of not more than $450. Again I asked for a flat rate, and he said that we would be pleasantly surprised at the price of hourly. The actual movers were very nice and courteous. In fact, one of the movers pointed out to us on the contract that there was an 18% percent fuel surcharge. I phoned the dispatcher and told him to cancel the job. Well, he reversed that and we were not charged the surcharge. As the day continued, the dispatcher kept calling the movers to see if we had signed the contract. After a while, he had the workers stop and basically held our furniture hostage until we signed.
