Headache
First, I called nationwide on a Saturday because the moving company hadn't called and they were supposed to be there on Saturday or Sunday. They said they would pick up my things on a Monday, but the company called me an hour before they were going to be at my apt, and it was the Sunday before.
Then the delivery was a mess. The movers showed up a day later than they said, they never called me to tell me where they were or when they were coming. They did not abide by the 24-hour notice at all. When I called Nationwide, they were more helpful, but the contract company, for lack of better words, was awful.
The TWO men that moved me in had no idea it was on the 3.5 floor of an old apt building. They showed up at 6:40pm when they said they were going to be there that morning. They didn't leave until 11:30pm. My neighbors yelled at them, and they didn't know where or how to park the truck. They fought about how and where to bring things up and one guy was on his cell phone for a good hour while moving.
Most of my boxes were wet, and the wood on my couches and tables were terribly banged up. One man actually asked me for more compensation, and said they need to be paid more for the flights of stairs. I would not recommend Nationwide. It was very inexpensive, but I like my things too much to do it that way again.
