They did not send someone to do an estimate, so it was done over the phone/computer (many companies do this). They did ask how many boxes I would need and I had no idea. We guessed 30 and that was the reason for the cost difference.... I needed 75.
They do not give you extact date for delivery. I asked for a specific day and in order to assure that day they picked up my belongings a week early. Turns out that they still would not deliver on the day I asked. However, my apartment was not ready when I arrived; it was a week late. The company was very helpful and considerate. No extra charge was applied.
However, the new delivery day, they did not show. I called and was directed to the driver. He did come the next day. All my stuff arrived in perfect condition (I had packed my own boxes, but for a cost they will pack). The workers are very nice.
They did ask for part cash at both the pick up and delivery (to pay for gas) and I was unaware of this prior to the movers arriving. At this point I would not mind using them again, but I think I would look around first.
