Bad Company
I would not recommend this moving company. I had 18 medium to small boxes, three suitcases and nine plastic totes, as well as one queen box spring and a mattress - that was it. When the truck arrived, my belongings were at the back. When they opened the back doors the truck was packed full. After they took my things out the two-foot mark on the ceiling of the truck was visible, but the board they used to separate the different customers was on my side of the two-foot line so I didn't even use that much. They would not deliver my things until I paid them another $1,986. When I called, they had a message that they were having their annual dot inspection and could not answer the phones. I am 62 and lifted everything that was moved and there is no way I could lift boxes weighing 100 or more pounds, which is what they would have averaged out. I was told I could file a complaint and I called and got a reference number from some place in Washington and some guys name who said he would call back, but he hasn't and I really don't care anymore. I am just thankful that the important things went with me, which was my husband and my dog. The driver and helper were great. They did a wonderful job and were as nice as could be.

Response from Omni Vanlines
The customer was told she could file a claim and receive some reimbursment. She filed a complaint instead. She never called us to let us know about any of the problems, she had a binding agreement that she agreed to and the balance due on delivery was not a surprise for her. According to her, she called the DOT in Washington and they haven't called her back. How is that our fault?
