Paid Too Much for Packing
The move itself went well, but I'm disputing my charges for the move.
The estimate for hours needed doubled, which was not a problem because the hourly rate was fair - $69. The added expense for gas was not initally explained to me but that was not an issue.
The big issue was the amount they charged in packing supplies - Wow! That was more than the hourly move rate - so it costs me another $600 just in tape and shrinkwrap. I even packed all my dishes, pans, pictures, lamps, glassware, pcs, etc. myself. So all they had was the furniture. I can't imagine what they would have charged if I had not done those items.
I feel totally ripped off by packaging expenses - way overcharged. I wrote the company but have not heard anything back. From $300 to $1150 was quite a jump for final move.
