Disappointment
They completely overbooked the crew. Originally they gave me a time window of 1pm - 3 pm. The guys didn't show up until after 5pm. No one from the
moving company took the time to call me to let me know what was going on - I had to call them three times. Finally at 5:00, I called the office and told them to postpone the move until Monday since I was concerned that they wouldn't be able to finish the job and she assured me that they would finish. What should have taken no more than four to five hours at the most ended up taking over seven hours. And they were not hesitate to charge me for the extra time. It took them over four hours just to load the truck - and I only had a two-bedroom apartment. I was completely prepared for them - everything was in boxes and taped. But boy did they charge me for every little thing - and I was only moving five minutes away. In addition, the foreman couldn't help b/c he hurt his back and half way through them loading the truck a new guy showed up but no one had the decentency to tell me what was going on so here I see this strange new person handling my things and when I questioned him about it, he got all defensive. So by overbooking the crew, not only did the company inconvenience the crew by wearing them out, they inconvenieced me, my family and my neighbors, both at my old location as well as the new location.
