Don't believe the quote

When I received the quote over the phone I was only told about the cost of the truck plus 3 men. I was totally surprised when they arrived to move me that they presented me with a page of costs that would be added for wrapping the furniture.

I told them that I only had a few items that would need wrapping. They insisted that they wrap everything for insurance purposes. They even wrapped items that when new did not cost what they charged me. Every item wrapped was between $25 and $75.

So for example a round table and 4 chairs that only cost $150 new cost $100 to wrap because the table was in 2 parts and then they wrapped 2 chairs together. They even wrapped the cheap wooden shoe holder that i got at wal-mart for $20. I had no time to secure another mover for that day.
