I do not recommend this company. Here are the reasons. Estimate vs. actual final cost: My estimate moving cost was $1,095. The final cost went up to $1,505. This was a 50% percent increase from the estimate. Do not go by the estimated cost. Insist on a written binding estimate in advance of your relocation. Without it, you would too most likely pay 50 percent more than what was “estimated.” Dishonest hidden fees: They charge six percent credit card fee if you do not pay them in cash. This “policy” was not communicated to me and it was not indicated under the contract. For example, if your balance is $1,000, you would have to pay $60 credit card fee. If you were made aware of this earlier, you would have prepared cash. When I called the company “boss,” to complain, he had the audacity to tell me to go to an ATM to retrieve the cash. The contract did indicate that there would be a charge for tape. They charge $3 per roll of substandard tape. They used up two rolls just to wrap one coffee table. Poor handling of my belongings: And yet they rolled down my boxes and bins over the stairs instead of carrying them down. Some of my boxes and bins later showed multiple tears and holes. Communication problems: They only spoke their native language (Spanish) with each other. I found it very unprofessional. All the movers spoke a little English. It was frustrating to try to communicate with them. Asking for a tip: One of the movers asked me for a tip. Tips are given for exemplary service, but are not something that should be asked for. I’ve never been in a situation where the idea was actually verbalized. Tardiness: The movers showed up 45 minutes late.
