Not Impressed
The movers were uncapable of lifting almost all of my furniture. My fiancee' had to help with the entire move. They were nice guys but they showed up with too small of a trailer, then they charged me for 2 items that I did not even own. When I called the main office to make a price adjustment, they informed me I was too late- (which i was never informed this when scheduling the movers) in fact, I was told that if there are any "changes" to let the movers know when they arrive and the price would be adjusted! I had to load some things in my own vehicle at the end.
I only had a few items to move and was on a time frame- but the way we had to help them with the move- it ended up taking a few hours for only about 9 large items. I was not happy with the area manager when I called to report the move- he was very rude and said there was nothing he could do. I asked the movers if they were licensed and stuff and they informed me it was their first day on the job! No training, and that was apparent. Nothing was damaged because my fiancee and I helped with everything to ensure that.

Response from Apartment Movers
Based on the move ticket, we had all items as small and nothing over sized. You did call back the night before and remove some boxes and a desk and we adjusted. The day of the move we cannot remove items but can substitute items because of the contract.
We use independent contractors and yes some are 1st day movers but all of the movers go through a back ground check and pass the basics. The contract states that the customers can help if they want. The contract also states that if a mover cannot safely move a item without risk or injury they do not have to move that item.
Each customer is guaranteed only a 14' enclosed trlr and nothing on the ticket sufficed for anything larger. Even if the movers took 4-6 hours or have to make multiple trips on an inventory, the price is the same.
