Apartment Movers Cheat
I originally spoke with someone from Apartment Movers over the phone. They gave me an estimate of my move by asking me about all of the items in my house, which came out to $400. But when the movers showed up and showed me the contract, a lot of the furniture that I needed to have moved was not included on the list. Management would not speak to me to clear up the problem; instead, they insisted that I speak to the movers themselves and basically jacked the final price up another $200. The one person at the company who talked to me basically called me a liar for not being "upfront" with her when we spoke over the phone. I wouldn't suggest anyone to do business with them. The best option is to have someone from a moving company physically come over to your house and give you an estimate in-person, not over the phone where mix-ups can occur or they can easily say "no you didn't tell us to include that" and you really have no proof. If you do make an agreement over the phone, have them email or fax you a copy of it so you can verify everything. Good luck to all future moving families.
