Moving Review
I intially contracted with Countrywide Moving, but my contract was then sold to 1st Choice. The moving company asked me to change my pick-up date to Sunday the 28th and then proceeded not to show up. After numerous calls (most went straight to voice mail) I received a call from the driver three hours after they were supposed to be there to tell me they would have to pick-up the next morning. The next morning, I had to call the movers to wake them up to pick up my belongings. Once the movers loaded my belongings, they pulled the old bait-and-switch since they never weighed the truck before the pick-up (my contract was by weight) they could not and had no intention of giving me a weight total. Instead, he gave me a bogus square foot total and kicked my bill up about a grand. My initial estimate was for 3,400 pounds and after having my items re-weighed by the new moving company it cameto 2,400 pounds. I am currently still missing items, neither moving company will return my phone calls or e-mail messages. I would not recommend that you use Countrywide Moving and 1st Choice Moving.
