It cost twice as much
My relocation was estimated to take six hours. It took 13 hours. I was never told that after eight hours I would be paying a very expensive overtime. I had four movers. At some point one guy quit and went home. I think I still paid overtime for him. When the relocation was prolonged, the manager talked to me on the phone and told me it would cost more "if" we had to open boxes when they came off the truck to determine where they would go. We stopped that practice. But they still more than doubled my rate. They used that phone call as their defense. I suggest that you not give them a credit card as payment. They put a "hold" on my money for the amount they wanted, without prior approval from me. Therefore, whether I agreed with their charges or not, they had already tied up my money. For this reason, I'm not recommending them to my friends who are moving next month. There were damages, but I took out insurance.
