The movers themselves did an OK job, but I had problems with how much I paid. First, the quote that I was given was wrong and the company did not stand by that quote. Number two, the cost such as labor was over $500 and was inexcusable for a 47-minute commute with no stairs ... I did not foresee the inflated hidden cost of moving.
I was already packed up and car loaded. But the supervisor came into my home and said EVERYTHING needed to be box up and the suitcase of course! I was shocked because my girlfriends stated that her moving complany taped up her dresser drawers and moved her with no extra cost. They even boxed up my packed garment bag of clothers and step stool, which I did not find out about until I began to unpack my boxes.
Why would you box up a stool? We were in shocked when the final bill was estimated at or about $1100! My belongings were held until I signed the paper and I could not enjoy my new home because I knew I was going to be broke for another month because of this moving company. The only thing the guy stated is, you signed the paper! I stated that I signed the paper based on a previous conversation with his company.
