The moving company never explained fully how the process works. I was given an estimate and it was then exceeded by 50 percent -- that is ridiculous! They ruined a Broyhill dresser that was in my family for over 20 years. It was solid wood. They claimed it was IKEA which uses particle board. It was damaged beyond repair. After the destruction they charged me more money for exceeding the seven minimum steps to my second floor apartment. I would not have too much issue with all of these up-charges if this was explained to me in detail up front. Instead, they assured me of their AAA rating and their outstanding marks with the Better Business Bureau. Not a good experience.
