Sacramento residents getting more TV network options
June 29, 2010 - Consumers moving to Sacramento, California now have more television networks to choose from if they're Comcast subscribers.
Recently, the U.S. cable giant launched 81 new television networks for their Sacramento customers, Comcast said. These will include six standard-definition channels, 14 international premium networks and 61 high-definition options. While the change is already in progress, it will be complete during August.
Comcast California region senior vice president Curt Henningerf said that "we've heard from customers that they can't get enough HD and multicultural programming, so we're excited to exponentially increase our offering of those networks and give even more value to our customers as part of our digital upgrade. These channel launches are about delivering on Comcast's promise to customers that by converting to digital, we could offer more of the products and services they want, right away."
The cable company's digital initiative, started earlier this year, allows its Expanded Basic customers to upgrade from analog to digital and it also provide faster internet speed, Comcast said. An increased selection of On Demand content will also be available.
When relocating to a new area, consumers should also find out how utility costs will change so they can properly budget.
